Ways to Improve Your Business Personality - 2

Most of us will never have the perfect job and so we must learn to appreciate the positive side of our livelihood. If there is a shortfall in satisfying your needs you may need to acquire a second stream of income. No, it is not easy but in life we play the hands that we are dealt.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines optimism as having "hopefulness and confidence about the future or successful outcome of something; a tendency to take a favourable or hopeful view."

If you say something like ‘I can’t do this’ then you most likely will not be able to. This is because your subconscious mind tends to believe what it hears thereby limiting your ability for accomplishments. You are defeating yourself. Instead of being negative and telling yourself ‘I can’t do this’ you should ask yourself the question: ‘how can I do this?’, ‘how can I get this to work?’

If you encourage pessimistic thoughts then you tend to be sad, miserable and unproductive. No one likes to be around a negative, miserable person. Every time you hear yourself thinking bad or negative about yourself, turn that thought into a positive one.

Develop a positive work attitude by being always willing to learn. No one likes a “know it all”. Be enthusiastic about the goals you can reach with your job and the load will feel much lighter. Try to get along with persons no matter how difficult they may be. You should try to find something in that person to like; maybe it’s their method of accomplishing a task or their suggestions. Look for the positive in them.

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill
