Affiliate Marketing - racing to earn extra cash!

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on May 4, 2014 at 12:15 AM Comments comments (1)

This is a brief blog about affiliate marketing and how it could be an opportunity for you to add another income stream to increase your earning potential.

Affiliate marketing is when you promote other people’s products or services and in return earn a commission for any sales generated as a result of your efforts. Here you the affiliate are paid based on your performance.

Advertisers will provide various links, banners and texts which contain your unique referral id for use in your promotions. This is so that they can track any leads you generate toward a sale. This is accomplished through ‘cookies’. Now cookies work with web browsers and they are used to store information such as user preferences, login information including the date and time a click is made on any of your links or ads.

So how can you get into affiliate marketing? First you need to find products or services to promote. You can try to sell digital or physical goods. Digital products can easily be downloaded; they are limited to books and software and generate small commissions. Physical products on the other hand have endless choices, are usually more expensive and yield higher commissions.

Where can you find affiliate programs? There are some popular ones you may be familiar with such as Ebay, Amazon Associates, Clickbank, Commission Junction, Linkshare, and Plimus. Simply create an account and start searching for products to sell by finding partners and getting your affiliate links.

How do you promote your links?

1. You could create a webpage with brief descriptions of all of your affiliate programs along with your affiliate links accompanying it.

2. Start a blog. Write about something in the field of what you are promoting and display your affiliate products/links.

3. If you are familiar with the product you are promoting, write a blog about it and share your knowledge. Recommend it to your audience and include your link.

4. If you don’t have a website or blog, you can promote your affiliate links using pay- per- click (PPC ) or pay-per-action (PPA) advertisements.

5. Use Facebook and other social media to share your links.

6. Try referral marketing, using word of mouth to recommend products and services to customers and contacts. I also use this offline to generate sales and have seen great results.

What do you think? Could affiliate marketing be your ticket to earning additional income?

Monetize Your Twitter Account

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on March 12, 2014 at 3:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Would you like to see subject lines like these every other day?

“Your post has been marked approved for payment” OR

“Good news! You just got paid for tweeting”

You can if you take tweeting seriously!

Sponsored Tweets is an online marketplace that allows you to connect directly with advertisers who will compensate you with cash in exchange for specific tweeted conversations through Twitter. If you do not have an account with them you should hop over to Twitter and sign up.

Advertisers have the ability to look at your tweets and determine if they want to do business with you. As a Tweeter, you will always write the tweet in your own words based on the guidelines and examples provided by the Advertiser.

How it Works

1. Sign up

First things first. You need to sign up with Sponsored Tweets here. You must have at least 100 followers to be eligible for the programme but to make tweeting profitable, you should try to increase your followers.

2. Set Your Price

Once you have signed up, to get started you are required to set your price. According to your number of followers, a price will be suggested for you to use but it’s up to you to set your charge per tweet. I suggest that you charge a little less than what is suggested. For example: if you have 4,500 followers, you would be worth approximately $5 per tweet but you could charge $4 to appear more approachable to advertisers. After you have set your price, add some keywords then wait for offers to roll in from advertisers.

3. Choose your offers

Choose offers relative to your interests. As offers come in you can accept or reject them. You are required to disclose that your tweet is sponsored to protect you, your audience and the advertiser. Some basic phrases of disclosure are provided at Sponsored Tweets to help facilitate disclosure. Tweeters are able to choose from any of the phrases, so long as one of them is included in the tweet. A few examples of disclosure include:

• “Today’s tweets are brought to you by ACME Co”

• “I would like to thank my sponsor ACME Co”

These are usually coded so they would not be as long as you see here.

Choose your disclosure to make it clear to readers that there is a commercial connection between you and the advertiser. Then you ready to write the tweet. Always write the tweet in your own words based on the guidelines and examples provided by the Advertiser. Sometimes you can simply copy and paste it. In all instances you have to approve the message before it gets tweeted out for you.

4. Receive Payment

Payments are sent to your Paypal account. If you need a Paypal account, you can get one here. If you accept an offer, your account will be credited within 24 hours of your tweet. You can cash out once your account reaches $50. Or if you wish to cash out before, there is a fee of $2 for withdrawals less than $50.

Interact with your friends and try to increase your following. The more quality followers you have, the more your tweets will be worth and the more credible you become.

Here are some great sites to help you to increase your followers for free, fast:

1. Add Me Fast                2. You Like Hits                   3. Like-Ex                   4. Likes Planet

Special Tip from Sponsored Tweets

Balance is key

You need to find balance in your Twitter stream. Just because you get lots of offers doesn’t mean you should take every one, even if they all seem to be a good fit. Don’t over-saturate your Twitter stream with too many sponsored tweets. You take the risk of losing your followers and devaluing yourself to advertisers.

Don’t get greedy

Yes, we believe your voice is worth a lot of money, but we also recognize the need to provide advertisers with a solid return on investment. When you sign up for the platform we provide you with a suggested price. You can keep that price or adjust it up or down. If you choose to adjust it up we would advise against setting it too high. You will put yourself at a disadvantage in the marketplace and may never receive offers.

Now, wouldn’t you like to see subject lines like this every other day?

“Your post has been marked approved for payment” OR

“Good news! You just got paid for tweeting”

All the best,

Freelancing Income

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on November 13, 2013 at 6:50 PM Comments comments (2)

A freelancer or freelance worker is an independent contractor who is self-employed and is not committed to any specific employer on a long term basis. Many employers welcome using freelancers to get work done because it saves them money without having to make a permanent commitment as they do with regular employees.

Freelancers enjoy a more flexible work schedule. It is one of the easiest and fastest ways to start working with minimal start-up cost. As a freelancer you choose the clients you wish to work with and the projects on which you work.

That said you can become a freelancer in some of these popular fields:

Acting, editing, computer programming, writing, song writing, article writing, filmmaking, tour guiding, translating, event planning, photography, music, proofreading, video editing, video production, web design, graphic design, consulting, publishing, accounting, marketing, illustrating, etc.

Read this FREE 70+ page report to see how freelancers compare to their peers and learn more about how they contribute to today’s economy.

Freelance work offers tremendous advantages and can represent an attractive alternative to a traditional job. If you plan to quit your traditional job and start a freelance business, be sure to plan to be self-employed. However, the best time to start a business is while you are still traditionally employed. So plan and plan some more. It is a great idea to start off on a part-time basis.

If you are considering a freelance career, you should explore the advantages and disadvantages of freelancing.

ADVANTAGES OF FREELANCING: Here are some benefits of freelance work:

Flexible hours - Working from home or from a remote workplace as a freelancer allows you to set the hours and work at times most convenient to you; you can choose the clients you wish to work with and the projects on which you work. If you have a traditional 9 to 5 job or part-time job, you can perform your freelance work around regular work hours.

Building self-asset – Having a successful freelance business allows you to build a reputation with a strong list of clients who not only appreciate your work but who will also help to increase that list, thereby increasing the income you generate, business collaborations and other opportunities.

Freedom and control - As a freelance worker, you can control your work load, particularly if you have an excess of work. While client demands can, at times, dictate your schedule, you can turn away work during busy times or accept more work during slow periods. Drop high maintenance or slow-paying clients or turn down undesirable projects if you so desire.

Independence – You basically operate on your own terms, set your own hours and rates.

Global workplace – You have worldwide job opportunities to work for clients in any country.

Learn new skills - You will learn new skills of necessity in order to operate your own business that you might not acquire if you were a traditional employee such as sales, marketing, office administration, and billing.

Eliminate commute - Working from home will save you time and money as you eliminate the daily commute to and from the office.

Unlimited income potential - Your income will be as a direct result of your own efforts not what is set by a company. With a variable income, the more you work, the greater your income. Increased self-respect – With achieved success operating your own business, you will fill your individual character with an attitude of accomplishment and respect for yourself.

Tax benefits – When you work from a home office as a freelancer, you can access some tax benefits including write-offs for your home office space, equipment and other business costs.

Relaxed dress code – If you are working from home and not meeting with clients, you can work in anything.

DISADVANTAGES OF FREELANCING: If you plan to quit your traditional job and start a freelance business, be sure to plan to be self-employed. However, the best time to start a business is while you are still traditionally employed. It is a great idea to start off part-time.

Consider the disadvantages of being a freelancer:

Start-up Cash Investment - Most new businesses require an initial cash investment to purchase equipment, web expenses, etc. If you already have the basics such as a computer and web connection, it can be very minimal indeed.

Absent Benefits - As an independent contractor or freelancer, you do not receive employer-provided benefit packages such as health insurance, vacation pay, sick pay, etc. You will require a plan for the moments when you are unable to serve your clients or meet specific deadlines.

Variable Workloads & Income - You will have to learn to manage variable workloads, time and priorities. Your workload and income may vary from month to month so it is up to you to ‘make it work’.

Accountability - Without an employer, you have sole responsibility for your success, failure or results. You must be focused, self-motivated and disciplined to be successful. Ensure that you provide quality work for your clients, abide by stated contracts and keep careful records of all your expenditures.

Compromise - Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get a job immediately. You may find yourself doing some pro bono or free work in the beginning to gain necessary experience. When you just start out as a freelancer, you can’t be too picky about the work you take on especially if you are probably in the process of building your portfolio.

So How Do You Start?

Step 1. Identify Your Skills

Take a look at your resume and ten to one you will find that you have secondary skills that are freelancing opportunities. Maybe you did not list all your skills on your resume so what are you good at? Are your talents marketable?

Identify a market where your expert skills and knowledge can be of value to clients. Choose your specialty. Specialization will make you more attractive to specific groups of clienteles and increase your chance of success. However, if you are not very good at what you do, try fixing that now. Quality is better than quantity.

Step 2. Create a Portfolio

Your portfolio represents your work. It is your asset. It demonstrates your skill and proves to clients that you are able to complete projects. It should communicate an idea of what it is that you do that makes you worthy. But, it is difficult building a quality portfolio without experience. Most artists can begin building their portfolios while they are in high school so by the time they reach a tertiary institution; they already have a head start.

Try attending a prominent college during your spare time and use some of that work to start your portfolio. Maybe you are not an artist but if you are gainfully employed, that is a great time to start. Take pictures of your completed projects, ask your boss for some positive feedback to use as testimonials. Take on work on the side and solicit testimonials from these paying clients. You can even sub-contract for other freelancers who may have a need for your skill. Produce quality work you will receive quality testimonials and even referrals. Be sure to ask for testimonials and referrals. Remember; each one tells one, that’s the power of verbal referrals.

If you find yourself doing some pro bono work in the beginning to gain necessary experience, ensure that you perform your best to receive positive recommendations.

Step 3. Promotion

Regardless of your expertise, you may have some difficulty in securing jobs but once you identify what you need to do to attract clients; you will be well on your way. Do research continually to see what kind of pricing your competitors are offering. Market yourself and your business to gain more clients. Constantly contact prospective customers through all the media services at your fingertips and present the passion you have for your skill.

Where to find opportunities?

UPDATE JUNE 30, 2014

I regret to inform you that as of today, June 30th I will no longer be promoting new signups to phone credit sales through Coolbiz. It is on my watch-list.

Phone Credit Sales & More...

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on April 29, 2013 at 6:30 PM Comments comments (3)

Let me introduce you to Coolbiz - the greatest legitimate business opportunity in Jamaica today.  Not only is this business lucrative, it is available in all 14 parishes. They offer the chance to use their system to earn money by purchasing products for your personal needs and/or selling to the general public.

These products include phone credit, grocery items, snacks and beverages, personal items and automotive goods.

When you sign up, which is currently free to do, you are asked to top up your phone account with mobile money. Mobile money is the way to prepay for all products. To order products you are required to send commands via text messages to your relevant phone service providers or gateways. Text messages are free to send to these gateways.

After signing up I suggest that you visit the Coolbiz site to see all the products available https://coolbizja.com

If you are going to create a web account at Coolbiz and you have already signed up at ProEarn, please remember to click the box [ ] I already have a (mobile only) Coolbiz account. This will avoid unnecessary errors in accessing the site. Put in your phone number and pin number you received when you signed up and create a username and password with 8 characters or more for smooth processing.

Retailers

I invite everyone to sign up as retailers to learn how to sell phone credits as well as other physical products, if they so choose. As a retailer you will be getting phone credit at a discounted price so you can have a greater profit margin on phone credit sales than a distributor.  Both retailers and distributors access physical products at the same price and can order in small or case lot purchases. Retailers, however, do not earn commissions.

This is for you if your wish is to sell phone credit only or to sell phone credit and physical products and do not have the time to manage sponsoring.

If your wish is to save money by putting credit on your own phone for wholesale price, you too can sign up as a retailer.

Distributors

If you decide that you can now manage to market products successfully and would like to try the distributorship, your account can be changed with a simple text message.

Distributors are able to sponsor persons as distributors or retailers and have them help build their business to earn monthly commissions. You will also make instant profit by resale of products like a retailer and multiply your earnings according to the number of active persons in your network.  Training and network marketing is a must for you to succeed.

If you are not doing this business, you are definitely not doing all you can to save in today’s challenging economy.

As a distributor, I try my very best to help you build your business whether you decide to remain a retailer or become a distributor.

Easiest Way To Save

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on March 26, 2013 at 8:55 PM Comments comments (1)

Easiest Way To Save

Whether you are saving for retirement, special sink fund or emergency funds, it can be a very difficult task to achieve.

Any financial advisor will tell you that you should save 10% or more of your monthly salary but these days an increasing number of persons are finding themselves taking out micro loans just to cover the basic necessities.

Many of us do not have the discipline to put money into our bank’s savings accounts regularly. If you get paid by direct deposit, you would think that it is just a matter of not spending your entire salary for the month. Some will withdraw down to the last dollar that the account will allow.  For others, if they do put something aside, it is soon spent on an ‘emergency thing’ or ‘need to take care of some business’.

You have often heard a friend saying "youneed to save something for a rainy day" or have you been saying "Lord I cannot save anything anymore" or "I can’t even cover all the bills, much less save anything".

You simply must find a way to save and I have a very easy solution for you.

Get a sturdy container and every time you get home from work, shopping, school, whatever and you have leftover change, yes change like this:

Put them in your container and forget about them. Seriously, just forget about them. Store it somewhere totally out of sight, if you have to. Just don’t touch it!

You may place some into a smaller container and empty into your larger container once a week, but do not remove anything from it.

If you fall short for any reason, do not even think about it.

In a couple of years, you will have a pleasant surprise!

Avoiding Common Business Loan Mistakes

Avoiding Common Business Loan Mistakes

By: Lee Kendrick

Surveys show that 94.7% of small business owners feel their only lending resources are local banks or personal credit cards. This common sense advice will help you avoid these common business loan mistakes, regardless of your personal credit history... and avoid pledging your personal property as collateral.

First of all, getting approved for a commercial loan is definitely easier than getting personal loans... regardless of your personal credit scores. Additionally, getting the right types of corporate credit is absolutely critical: if you want to protect your personal assets, minimize the risk of a personal lawsuit affecting your business, and to your ability to weather the economic changes that happen overnight.

All business owners must be much more proactive about developing relationships with the right types of lending institutions. You usually want to start your application process with out-of-state, national lenders... not your local or regional banking institutions. National lenders typically won't require a personal guarantee or your social security number.

Follow this simple roadmap to obtain a small business startup loan, a business debt consolidation loan, a bad credit business loan, or a government business loan... although I strongly recommend that you find a commercial loan expert who can help you through the process of building a strong corporate credit rating.

Finding a competent business loan expert will give you a head start on your competition & also let you focus on running your day-to-day activities... instead of dealing with the hassles of establishing a strong business credit rating. An excellent business credit score can help your company's image, overnight. And, finding a small business loan expert isn't that difficult. You just need to know where to look.

Now... let's get started... before you start applying for any business loans!

1. How is your business structured? Is it a sole proprietorship, C-corporation, S-Corporation, Limited-Liability Corporation (LLC), Partnership, or Trust?

2. How long has your business been recognized by your State & Local government?

3. Has your company ever had derogatory information reported against it to either of the two (2) most popular business credit reporting agencies, Dun & Bradstreet or Experian?

4. Are your commercial permits, licenses and registrations current?

5. Does your business have a physical address, or are you trying to use a U.S. Post Office Box instead?

6. Is your business telephone number recognized by directory assistance?

7. Are your incoming telephone calls professionally answered in your business name?

8. Have you established a business checking account?

9. Have you registered & asked for an Employer Identification Number (also known as an EIN) from the IRS?

If your answer to the first question was a sole proprietorship, partnership or trust; I urge you to re-establish your company as a corporation or LLC. I'm not going to provide you with legal advice, but many CPAs and attorneys highly recommend

LLCs (Limited Liability Corporations) as a way of protecting your personal assets & estate... in the event of any lawsuits being filed against your company.

As a sole proprietor, your personal assets are at direct risk of seizure or forfeiture when faced with most types of legal action. Additionally, if you are applying for business loans in a corporation's name... most lending institutions will not require you to provide any personal guarantee!

A corporation can still face difficulties applying for business credit, if it has been in business less than two (2) years or had previous credit problems reported against it. Here are some ways to fix these problems.

- Purchasing a "shelf corporation" or "aged corporation" that's been in good standing with your State government (for longer than 2 years) can drastically improve your chances for small business loan approval.

- You can attempt to repair your business credit rating by writing dispute letters to Experian or Dun & Bradstreet, which isn't always possible.

- Some corporate credit experts will help you find, select & purchase an established "shelf" or "aged" corporation, some of which already have strong credit ratings established... saving you alot of hassles!

I cannot stress this enough... you MUST have a physical address (not a PO Box) if you want to establish a solid business credit rating. The same thing is said for telephone numbers & the way incoming phone calls are handled. Would you lend money to a company that does not appear to have a physical address or documented telephone number?

And, don't forget to always keep your commercial permits, licenses & registrations current... and always keep copies of these documents in case a potential lender asks for this information.

Business checking accounts are a must. Again, this proves stability to your potential lenders. Here are a couple of tips for you, in case you've had any checking accounts closed by a financial institution. Pay off the outstanding balance (if any) that's being reported by the bank, or open a checking account at a bank or credit union that doesn't use the ChexSystems credit reporting system. Most credit unions don't use ChexSystems, and you can always find a list of banking institutions in your area that don't use ChexSystems... by simply doing a search on Google, Yahoo or MSN.

Small business credit ratings are tracked using your business name, business address and employer identification number (EIN). You can apply for & receive an EIN at the IRS's website (irs.gov). You can also call the IRS, but be prepared for long waits.

Then you'll want to obtain a D-U-N-S number from Dun & Bradstreet, the largest business credit reporting agency. You can apply for this without any fees at Dun & Bradstreet's website (dnb.com), and you'll usually receive this number within thirty (30) days. Do not apply for this number until you've prepared your self thoroughly, because any information you give to them... goes into your credit file... permanently.

After you've obtained your D-U-N-S number, you're probably ready to start establishing some vendor credit. Vendor credit is where many business owners start establishing business credit ratings. Simply go to staples.com, officemax.com or officedepot.com to get started. Then, you'll also need to fax your business telephone bill & the credit application to them... on your business letterhead (which you can create using your favorite word processing software if you don't have expensive stationery). They usually don't require any personal guarantees (if you've followed the outline above), and you'll usually receive a starting credit line of $750.

This is critical & I repeat... critical! Always pay your invoices before the grace periods begin... especially on unsecured credit cards or vendor credit lines. Dun & Bradstreet will lower your credit score for every day a creditor reports your bill as unpaid while you're within your grace period. Whereas, personal credit scores are not lowered unless you are 30+ days past your due date.

Dun & Bradstreet reports what's known as a Paydex score (your corporate credit score), and a score of 80 is very good... with 100 being the highest score you can achieve. Your Paydex score is issued once you've established a known vendor/credit relationship with at least five (5) creditors.

There are shortcuts that will help you get much more than $750 alot faster. When using a business credit expert, most small business owners (even startups) can be approved for vendor credit lines of $25,000-$50,000 and open credit lines of $50,000, $250,000, $500,000 or more... in as little as 45-60 days... by using their knowledge of the application process & "shelf" corporations.

Now, it's your choice. Are you going to go against the grain & try to establish business credit on your own (which could prove costly to your business health, growth & survival)? Or, will you choose to utilize a corporate credit expert... allowing you to remain focused on your daily business needs?

Most business owners make the mistake of trying to do this on their own... usually trying to find grants, investor "angel" money, or falling back onto the "personal credit card sword". Don't be a casualty like the rest. Learn more about how you can use the same tools that informed, educated millionaires have been using for decades.

How To Become Optimistic

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on February 2, 2012 at 4:10 PM Comments comments (2)

How To Become Optimistic

The Oxford English Dictionary defines optimism as having "hopefulness and confidence about the future or successful outcome of something; a tendency to take a favourable or hopeful view."

I consider myself a happy person and it pains me when I hear negative talk over, and over, and over again. I seriously want to do just about anything to get away from the person, the conversation, the group, whatever.

Maybe you have been laid off from your job. Maybe you’re looking at various other opportunities out there but you have friends who say things such as, “nothing is happening”, “there’s no work out there”. So you take this as gospel and instead of investigating other avenues of generating an income in the interim, you hang out on the corner.

You are being influenced by hopelessness and uncertainty.

You are to attend an interview and you’ve been told that “at ‘X’ company the sales manager is a difficult person”. Before you even sit across from your interviewer you will probably perceive that you don’t have sufficient experience or would not be able to accomplish your monthly sales quota.

If you say “I can’t do this” then you most likely will not be able to. This is because your subconscious mind tends to believe what it hears thereby limiting your ability for accomplishments. Instead of being negative and telling yourself “I can’t do this” you should ask yourself the question: “how can I do this?”, “how can I get this to work?”

If you encourage pessimistic thoughts then you tend to be sad, miserable and unproductive. Ever heard of “if you dwell on something it will probably happen”? I believe in dwelling on good things. If you are unsuccessful in life maybe you should start telling yourself mentally that you are successful.

Years ago when I was trying new ventures and had no one to accompany me on my quests, my dad told me something that I will never forget. He said “you were not born a twin, you were born alone. If you don’t do what you have to do, no one is going to do it for you”.

So, if you are not fortunate enough to have someone to support you in your endeavours then talk to yourself. Give yourself a pep talk. One step is all it takes to be on the road to successful goals. Be creative and challenge yourself to start thinking of solutions instead of banging your head against the wall thinking about the problem. This will only give you a headache.

You need to maximize your successes and minimize your failures. Minimize your failures: Not that failure is a bad thing. Be honest with yourself and think about your failures. Identify your weaknesses and ask yourself “how can I learn from this?”, “how can I build something from this?” Make your failures a learning experience. Be optimistic.

Maximize your successes: Think about of all the ways in which you have been successful and ask yourself: “what are my strengths?”, “what are the reasons why this worked?” Congratulate yourself and maximize those strengths. Be optimistic.

Stop the pessimism! Stop limiting your potential! Stop sabotaging yourself! Every time you hear yourself thinking bad or negative about yourself, do a flip and turn that thought into a positive one. Stop hanging around people who only have negative assessments of themselves and others! Turn yourself around and then suggest that they do the same. You will feel better about yourself and have a less stressful life.

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill

Customer Service Leads to Customer Loyalty

By: Jay Conners

Customer Service Leads to Customer Loyalty

All customers want and expect superior customer service, and it is all too important that we give it to them. Otherwise, our competition will.

Your customer doesn't want to be treated like another statistic along an assembly line. They want to be treated with respect. It is very important that your customer realizes just how important their business is to you.

Imagine if you were a daily customer at a bank, restaurant, or some other establishment. And every day that you walked in, a sales associate would take care of your business, than hurry you out the door, without so much as a hi, bye, or even making eye contact for that matter.

Okay, so you don't necessarily go to these places to make new friends, but you would think that the experience could be just a little bit positive.

Maybe this isn't enough to make someone take their business elsewhere. However, it just might if they were approached by your competition, and your competition gave them an idea of just how the grass can be greener on the other side, and managed to swipe that customer from you. And if they did, would you even realize it?

The most important thing to your customer when doing business is customer service. People want to be treated with respect. They want to be addressed by name, they want their phone calls returned, and they want their problems resolved in a timely fashion.

Customer service, believe it or not, is more important to people than the amount of the product, or the over all fees' they have to pay.

So before you discuss pricing, give them great customer service up front.

When I was in banking, I had an elderly couple take their business to a new bank that just opened across the street offering all kinds of special promotions at their grand opening. They happened to be very good customers of mine, and they were sad to go. They told me that the new bank was able to offer them the same products I could, except the products were free.

I told them that although the products may be free, they would never experience the customer service there that they received here.

They understood, but left by telling me that it just made economic sense for them to leave.

A month later, they came back. Needless to say, they were not happy with the other bank's customer service.

I wasn't at all surprised and was only too happy to have them back.

Excellent customer service is a great way to build customer relationships, and also build customer loyalty.

When I say customer loyalty, I mean they won't be so quick to jump ship when approached by your competitor.

People love to have the peace of mind that whatever product or service they have with you is secure with you. They like knowing that if ever there is a problem, or if they have a question, you will be there to resolve their issue, regardless of what it may be.

Excellent customer service also leads to loyalty because if your customers like the way you treat them, they will be happy to refer their friends and family to you.

Providing excellent customer service to gain loyalty is quite easy. People love to be greeted by name along with a smile. They love to have their problems resolved quickly, so make sure they know that they can depend on you. They like to have their phone calls returned, so return them.

Customer service is key to retaining your customers, and obtaining all of their business. It is also a great way to obtain referrals from them.

Trust me, treat your customers the way you would treat your friends or family and they will stick with you forever, and provide you with a lot of business. Good luck.

Ways to Improve Your Business Personality - Part 4

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on October 18, 2011 at 7:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Finally, improving your personality is not an easy task but wanting to improve, believing you can improve them is an important aspect. We all have character weaknesses. We often recognize the unfavourable features in others but not our own. Or if we do we find excuses for them thereby creating a detour on our path of success.

So what are your flaws? Can you honestly recognize and analyze them? If you can, do you know the traits that will best express who you really are inside? Here are some of the basic factors of success. How many of them do you possess?

1. Dependability. Can you do what you say you are going to do? A dependable person does not say “Yes” unless absolutely sure a promise can be carried out.

2. Accuracy in Performance. If you want to do a good job, you take pride in your work. You check everything for accuracy. Nothing is presented without your seal of approval.

3. Ability to follow instructions properly/attention to details. You follow written instructions to the ‘t’. You always write down or record oral instructions and never depend on memory.

4. Punctuality and attendance. You make it your duty to be ready to work each day and to be on time. You are serious about giving an honest day of work for an honest day’s pay. You do not resent the time you give to your job as you are investing with the hope of future returns.

5. Aptitude and attitude. You have a natural ability for the job, especially one that can be further developed. You learn quickly and enjoy what you do.

6. Personality. You are a positive and cheerful person. You accept yourself; you accept others. You cooperate and get along with your co-workers.

7. Neatness. Everything you need is easily accessible. You keep all your work areas and equipment neat and orderly.

8. Appropriate dress and grooming. You investigate the dress code of the company before you apply for the job. You ensure that your person and attire are clean and cared for. Being properly groomed inspires self-confidence.

9. Motivation. You have enthusiasm for your job and you give yourself incentives, reasons to do something to achieve your goals.

10. Fitness: Physical fitness is part of your daily routine. Mental fitness is very important in times of crisis. You prepare yourself to perform under pressure without overpowering fear or anxiety with relaxation techniques.

If you do not possess all the above, it is a good idea to start your improvement campaign now. Whether you work for yourself or for someone else, educate or reeducate yourself, if needed. Learn everything you can about your field. Have integrity, show some initiative, be cooperative, adaptable to change and practise common courtesies.

Ways to Improve Your Business Personality - 3

You are developing a positive attitude; you are saying “Yes, I can,” but there are times when you want to scream “Noooo!” Remember, it is easy to be negative but when you approach problems with a positive view, you can solve them more easily.

“Once you replace negative words with positive words, you’ll start having positive results.” – Willie Nelson

Circumstances can arise when you are challenged to remain positive, but ask yourself “do I want a partnership/friendship or a battleground?” So what do you do when you must say “No”?

Face the situation; take a moment to analyze it, smile, and soften your tone and….

Imply the negative. Let your words suggest “no” without actually saying so.

E.g.: Someone asks you, the secretary of a mail order company, if you will allow him to have copies of your sales letters

You answer: “Our Company depends primarily on sales and collection letters for its business; they are for our use only.”

Use sentence structure. Place the “No” in the dependent clause of the sentence.

E.g.: Instead of saying: “You forgot to send me your shipping address.”

You say: “If you will give me your shipping address, I’ll send your order immediately.”

Make the negative impersonal. Make a ‘thing’ the subject of the sentence.

E.g.: Instead of saying: “You smudged the ink along the edges of some of the copies.”

You say: “The copier smudged the ink along the edges of some of the pages.”

Say what it is you can do. It is better to say what you can do instead of what you cannot do.

E.g.: Your partner asks: “Can I have your proposal by this evening?”

You say: “I can have it ready for you by 10am tomorrow morning.”

When you are faced with a negative situation, use them for growth. Use them to prepare for future events and propel into positive action. Practise changing negative statements to positive ones sincerely and feel yourself being lifted up instead of down.

Ways to Improve Your Business Personality - 2

Most of us will never have the perfect job and so we must learn to appreciate the positive side of our livelihood. If there is a shortfall in satisfying your needs you may need to acquire a second stream of income. No, it is not easy but in life we play the hands that we are dealt.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines optimism as having "hopefulness and confidence about the future or successful outcome of something; a tendency to take a favourable or hopeful view."

If you say something like ‘I can’t do this’ then you most likely will not be able to. This is because your subconscious mind tends to believe what it hears thereby limiting your ability for accomplishments. You are defeating yourself. Instead of being negative and telling yourself ‘I can’t do this’ you should ask yourself the question: ‘how can I do this?’, ‘how can I get this to work?’

If you encourage pessimistic thoughts then you tend to be sad, miserable and unproductive. No one likes to be around a negative, miserable person. Every time you hear yourself thinking bad or negative about yourself, turn that thought into a positive one.

Develop a positive work attitude by being always willing to learn. No one likes a “know it all”. Be enthusiastic about the goals you can reach with your job and the load will feel much lighter. Try to get along with persons no matter how difficult they may be. You should try to find something in that person to like; maybe it’s their method of accomplishing a task or their suggestions. Look for the positive in them.

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill

Ways to Improve Your Business Personality - 1

For success in business you need to be efficient in the work you perform and be able to satisfy your needs. You must be able to work along with others. In fact, if you are going to succeed in anything – your job, your marriage – your personality is what matters most.

Okay, you have qualifications but how far is that by itself going to get you? For example: Jenny is a secretary who is recently employed to a sales and service company. Sharon is a sales representative who has been working at that position for over ten years. Jenny is efficient at her job but she is unable to get along with Sharon who dislikes being ordered about by anyone other than her employer. They inevitably argued in front of customers and Jenny was fired.

Jenny was “the new kid on the block” and even though she knew how to get the job done, she had yet to satisfy all her needs. The need to feed, clothe and shelter; to become part of a group and share with them; to acquire possessions and to have others recognize her achievements. Failing to accomplish these had caused her to become impatient and disgruntled. Sadly, Jenny lost the job because she was unable to fit in with the team. She was intolerant.

If you want others to adjust to your wishes, you must first learn to adjust to theirs. Are you being helpful? Do you care about your appearance? How you carry yourself? How you speak? How you act? How you treat others? Are you making excuses for the unattractive side of your personality? Analyze yourself, accept your weaknesses and make a decision to replace them with more desirable traits.

You must want to learn, to believe that you can learn to improve your personality.  Take a step and walk with success.

Why And How You Can Get Back Deleted Photos

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on January 23, 2011 at 1:24 PM Comments comments (0)

Photo deletion from digital devices happens here and there as the world is stepping towards digitalization. Digital cameras bring us great risk as well as good memories. One of the common problems about deleting photos from camera like, "I accidentally deleted photos from my digital camera memory card. Is there any way to get back my deleted photos? "

Common belief thinks it is impossible, if you deleted them those deleted photos are just gone. But the true answer is YES. Although there's no guarantee, you can often successfully get back deleted photos from camera memory card. It just depends on what's happened since the photos were deleted.

Why you can get back deleted photos

When you delete photos, the photo itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those photo files is located. The space containing the deleted photos is also now marked as free space so it is available for new files to occupy there instead. So before the deleted photos are got back, it is very important to not take any more photos to the camera memory card in case the deleted photos are really deleted permanently.

How to get back deleted photos?

You can easily get back deleted photos from camera memory card on your own with Wondershare Photo Recovery, an easy-to-use and do-it-yourself picture recovery tool to get back deleted photos, videos and music under Windows platforms. Only 3 steps needed to get back your deleted photos from digital cameras which are respectively SELECT, SCAN, SAVE which are shorten as "3S". Here are the details about how to use "3S" steps to get back deleted photos.

1. Download and install the free trial version on your computer. With the memory card inserted, connect your digital camera to your computer. Under "My Computer", note the drive letter assigned to your camera's memory card (usually G: or H:). Start the program and then SELECT the file types (including All, Photo, Video, Music options) which you want to get back.

2. After selecting the file types you would like to get back. Click "Start Scan" button to SCAN the camera memory card automatically.

3. Then you will find a lot of photos you deleted and all found are recoverable. Preview them to see if your deleted photos are there. After confirmation, register to get a key code to perform full recovery. SAVE the found photos you deleted to another disk.

For those who use Macintosh OX, just turn to Wondershare Photo Recovery for Mac, a Mac photo recovery program for Mac users to get back deleted photos, videos and music. Also, only 3 steps needed to get back deleted photos.

Caution: No matter you are Windows or Mac users, before your deleted photos are got back, please do not attempt to put more files to the memory or take more photos. Meanwhile, better save the recovered items to a different disk while perform photo recovery to make sure you can successfully get back deleted photos.

Millionaire Mindset: Top Ten Tips To Develop A Wealthy Mindset And Attitude

Posted by Mevonnie Hugh on January 23, 2011 at 1:15 PM Comments comments (1)

The millionaire mindset is a powerful thing. It has helped launch careers, multi-national corporations, and big dreams and ambitions. The cool thing about it is that it’s not exclusively for current millionaires. Regular people like me and you can also harness the power of the millionaire mindset!

If you’ve been exposed to poverty all your life, adopting this kind of mindset might be more of a challenge for you. But that’s only because your mind might be more reluctant to think big than for any other reason.

However, with the right attitude, anyone can take on a millionaire mindset! Read this article and find out just what it is and how it can help you.

Tip # 1: Your fate is in your hands.

Millionaires believe that they control their own destiny. That’s why little things like poverty, lack of education and poor connections don’t faze them as much.

While these factors do have a hand in their quality of life, the millionaire mindset pushes them to overcome all obstacles and come out on top.

Not all millionaires were born with money in their cribs. In fact, a good percentage of the really rich are self-made millionaires. What makes you think you can’t be one, too?

Tip # 2: Be on the lookout for opportunities.

Having a millionaire mindset means that you’re constantly on the watch for any and every opportunity to increase your wealth. This means that where other people see only garbage, you see gold.

Most people only run after opportunities that present themselves. If you have a millionaire mindset, you don’t just chase after the obvious opportunities; you also look for what is invisible to others. You also don’t just limit yourself to one small idea; you come up with a dozen or so big ideas.

Tip # 3: Love what you do.

Most millionaires are passionate about their life. For you to follow that same path, you must at least love what you do.

Are you stuck in a dead end job that doesn’t even do much to improve your mood? Then perhaps it’s about time that you focus all your energies into doing what you love to do instead!

Tip # 4: Take a few risks.

What is an adventure without a few calculated risks here and there? Most millionaires ended up being where they are right now because they took a leap of faith and followed their hunch.

Tip # 5: It’s always been you.

The millionaire mindset is more internal than external. So all along, it’s always been you. You’ve always been the one responsible for your life. And unless you yourself believe in your own prowess, you’ll never really make it all the way to your goal.

Don’t listen to the voices around you saying that you can’t do it or that you’ll never achieve what you want to achieve. And don’t let external factors get in the way of you doing your own thing as well!

Tip # 6: Focus on the positive.

The millionaire mindset pushes you to think positive. There’s no room for self-doubt or negative thoughts on this bus!

When the monthly electricity bill arrives, for example, don’t think about how high your bill has gotten and how much you have to shell out this month. Instead, think about how money simply makes its rounds around town and how it will soon find its way back into your hands again. As you hand over your payment to the collector, think about how soon you’ll see that same amount back in your wallet again!

Tip # 7: Be happy.

Life is too short to spend the rest of it as a sour puss. Take a page from the millionaire’s handbook and allow yourself to feel happiness. Being happy opens you up to a lot of opportunities and new experiences and keeps you going in life.

Tip # 8: Be thankful.

Hand in hand with being happy is being thankful. By being thankful, you’re more or less releasing feelings of gratitude out to the universe. These feelings then translate into “I’m very grateful with the money I have,” which then encourages the universe to shower you with more money back just for that thought.

Tip # 9: Affirmations help.

Positive reinforcement is but one of the many things you can do to attract millions. Choose a mantra like “I am wealthy, healthy and steady” and recite it to yourself everyday. Or post this affirmation on your cork board so you’ll always be visually reminded of that fact.

Tip # 10: Avoid the green-eyed monster.

The millionaire mindset is not all about who has the bigger yacht or the grander mansion. You don’t have a reason to be jealous of other people and there’s also no need for you to compete with other people either.

Envy only causes feelings of lack and when your focus spirals down to that, then the universe will take it as a sign that your millionaire streak is now over.

The millionaire mindset has proven itself to be effective time and time again. Now that you know how a millionaire thinks, you have the rest of your life to apply them all.
